What is a Behavioral Health Consultant?
Our team consists of experienced, Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW) who provide medical and behavioral health-focused care for problems resulting from medical illnesses, mental health related issues or substance use. Our team utilizes a special set of skills to help you and your family more successfully manage illnesses through the continuum of care.

Meet the New Milford team
Susanna Carlson, LCSW CST
Susanna Carlson is trained in various evidence-informed modalities with a background in outpatient therapy, acute psychiatric care, boutique residential treatment for both adolescents and adults, and medical social work. Susanna individualizes her treatment approach to each client’s needs. Her particular interests are assisting adults in improving their relationships, the impact of trauma on our functioning and the applicability of the grieving process to many aspects in our lives.Susanna received her Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work at Fordham University in New York. She is a Certified Sex Therapist by AASECT (American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists) and also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).
