Clare Messuri, LCSW

Clare Messuri is a licensed clinical social worker in Connecticut and has been working in the mental health field for nearly 30 years. Clare started her career as a residential counselor working with the developmentally disabled and chronically mentally ill. She expanded her clinical experience working with the geriatric population for local homecare agencies providing individual therapy, case management and connecting patients with community resources. Clare also worked as a substance abuse counselor for the local methadone maintenance program, Danbury Hospital Crisis Intervention and has a solo private practice in Danbury. Clare’s therapeutic approach is patient centered, interactive and solution focused using a range of modalities including CBT, supportive counseling, motivational interviewing and interpersonal therapy.

Clare spends her free time with children and extended family, enjoys numerous outdoor activities and volunteering for special olympics.
