Danbury Hospital is pleased to announce a generous $250,000 multi-year gift from The Union Savings Bank Foundation to support the hospital’s Community Care Team (CCT). The donation will play a crucial role in addressing the complex health and social needs of at-risk populations in the Greater Danbury area.
“We are incredibly grateful for Union Savings Bank’s generous support of our Community Care Team,” said Dawn Myles, vice president of Community Health for Nuvance Health. “This multi-year gift will significantly enhance our ability to provide coordinated, holistic care to some of the most vulnerable members of our community. By addressing both medical and social needs, we can improve health outcomes and ensure that more individuals have access to the essential resources they need to thrive.”
This partnership was formalized during a check presentation ceremony held recently at Danbury Hospital. The gift will enhance the resources and infrastructure of the CCT.
Union Savings Bank shares Danbury Hospital’s commitment to building strong community partnerships. The bank is passionate about supporting initiatives that promote education and provide critical care navigation services—essential components in addressing the diverse challenges faced by under-resourced individuals.
“We are thrilled to partner with Danbury Hospital to help extend vital services to those who need them most,” said Chelen Reyes, President and CEO of Union Savings Bank from Union Savings Bank. “Our shared values in improving community health outcomes make this a natural and meaningful collaboration.”
Danbury Hospital’s Community Care Team has been instrumental in delivering coordinated, patient-centered care that addresses not only medical needs but also social determinants of health, such as housing, food security and access to education. The demand for such services continues to grow, and this generous gift will enable the CCT to expand its reach and impact.
