As a cardiac electrophysiologist, Dr. Ethan Hoch spends his days installing pacemakers and defibrillators, as well as performing ablations to treat abnormal heart rhythms, also known as arrhythmias.
Dr. Hoch began working at The Heart Center, an affiliate of Nuvance Health, in Poughkeepsie in July and has hit the ground running with plans to expand and see patients in the Fishkill location starting in March.
“I chose electrophysiology because it allows me to care for people using a combination of medicine, physiology, engineering and technology, all of which I am passionate about,” Dr. Hoch said.
