Poughkeepsie region gains primary care physician

“I believe trust is the key to giving and receiving quality medical care,” said the board-certified internal medicine doctor, who is also part of Nuvance Health’s graduate medical education faculty.

She will see patients in partnership with resident physicians, bringing a team-based approach to care.

Popplewell was previously an attending physician with the Northwell Health system in Long Island. She was also an assistant professor in the Zucker School of Medicine affiliated with Hofstra University and Northwell Health.

A new resident of Dutchess County, she received her medical degree from New York Medical College and her bachelor’s from Columbia University. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their corgi, hiking, traveling, paddle boarding and quilting.
