Nuvance Health proudly announces the opening of our newest primary care practice conveniently located in Mahopac, New York. This marks our fourth primary care office in Putnam County, complementing existing locations in Carmel, Brewster and Putnam Valley. We are committed to delivering comprehensive primary care services across Putnam County.
Situated in a prime location in the Lake Plaza Shopping Center, our new primary care office is a nearly 10,000-square-foot facility with all modern amenities. Featuring 14 patient rooms, three care stations and six clinician offices, we ensure ample space and resources for personalized care.
Presently, Gisell Vega, MD is accepting new primary care patients. As a family medicine physician, Dr. Vega is equipped to treat a wide range of medical conditions with a strong emphasis on preventive health. With expertise in treating patients of all ages, Dr. Vega creates treatments plans tailored to meet everyone’s needs.

Q: What do you think about the new Mahopac primary care office?
A: The new Mahopac office is a spacious, beautiful and serene space in a convenient location. I believe patients will truly enjoy the inviting atmosphere it provides.
Q: What are your hopes for the practice?
A: My hope is to cultivate a practice where patients feel comfortable and empowered to openly discuss any health concerns. I aim to collaborate closely with patients to help them achieve their wellness goals.
Q: How do you envision the patient experience at our practice?
A: I envision the experience to be both productive and stress-free, allowing patients to focus entirely on their well-being during their visit.
Q: What steps will you take to ensure our patients feel welcomed and comfortable in our new office?
A: The staff and I at Mahopac make sure all patients are treated kindly and with respect. I encourage questions during visits and strive to ensure that each patient feels heard and supported in finding long-term health solutions.
