This technology includes biplane angiography systems at Danbury Hospital, Norwalk Hospital and Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Endovascular neurosurgeons can open blockages in vessels through tiny incisions with great precision to restore blood flow to the brain after an ischemic stroke. Vassar Brothers Medical Center also has a portable MRI system to diagnose and manage neurological conditions such as stroke.

Stroke care teams provide education and resources for patients so they can effectively manage their recovery. They also provide resources for caregivers to support their loved ones after having a stroke.

Nuvance Health hospitals have also achieved Joint Commission certifications for meeting rigorous stroke care standards. Danbury Hospital and Norwalk Hospital have Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center Certification for endovascular treatment and management of ischemic stroke. Vassar Brothers Medical Center and Sharon Hospital have Primary Stroke Center Certification.
