DANBURY, Connecticut, September 16, 2020 — Nuvance Health appointed Geoffry Hook chief information officer (CIO) of the seven-hospital health system. Hook will serve as the chief information systems strategist and overall information systems administrative and operations leader for Nuvance Health.
As CIO of Nuvance Health, Hook will collaborate with the health system’s clinical and administrative leaders to drive digital and strategic goals. This includes alignment of approximately 330 IT team members, systems, platforms, priorities, budgets, and capital planning as Nuvance Health, a nascent health system, continues to develop. Hook most recently served as interim CIO for Nuvance Health and prior to that chief digital officer for the health system.
Hook has been instrumental in leading the delivery of IT solutions during the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring Nuvance Health’s preparedness for the public health emergency, and supporting critical initiatives during the pandemic. These initiatives included swiftly shifting to telemedicine in order to provide patients convenient and safe access to care, and transitioning over 3,000 employees to virtual work.
