Nuvance Health/Northwell Health – Proposed CON Public Notice
Pursuant to Section 19a-638 of the Connecticut General Statutes, Nuvance Health and Northwell Health will submit the following Certificate of Need Application:
Applicants: Nuvance Health and Northwell Health (directly or through an affiliate)
Proposal: The Applicants will file a Certificate of Need Application with the State of Connecticut Office of Health Strategy for approval of the affiliation of Nuvance Health and Northwell Health, which will include an indirect change in ownership of The Danbury Hospital (inclusive of its New Milford Hospital campus), The Norwalk Hospital Association d/b/a Norwalk Hospital, Vassar Health Connecticut, Inc. d/b/a Sharon Hospital, Nuvance Health Medical Practice CT, Inc., and all other affiliates of Nuvance Health, including joint venture interests in Norwalk Surgery Center, LLC. As a result of the affiliation, Northwell Health will become the parent of Nuvance Health directly or through an affiliate. Nuvance Health will continue furnishing high-quality health care services in its Connecticut communities through its current hospitals, providers, and staff, with investment and support from Northwell Health.
