CMS ratings for quality healthcare
CMS ratings offer the community an overview of healthcare facility performance. Their evaluation measures safety of care, mortality, patient experience, readmission rates and timely and effective care. CMS collaborates with the entire healthcare community to achieve better outcomes in the healthcare system.
“This remarkable achievement would not have been possible without the dedication and compassion of our physicians and staff, as well as the trust and support of our community,” said Denise George, president of Northern Dutchess Hospital. “Every member of our team pours their heart into their work, always striving to provide exceptional care. Our unique culture, rooted in teamwork and quality, is at the core of everything we do. Earning a five-star rating highlights our commitment to ensuring every patient feels valued and well cared for.”
Northern Dutchess Hospital earns 5-star quality healthcare rating from CMS
Northern Dutchess Hospital is one of only 10 hospitals in New York to receive a five-star rating and one of 381 hospitals nationwide. Recently, the hospital was reaccredited as a Robotic Center of Excellence by the Surgical Review Corporation (SRC), recognized by U.S. News & World Report for high performance in knee replacement and achieved The American Heart Association Get with the Guidelines Stroke Gold Plus award. Earlier this year, they also achieved Surgical Quality Partner Status by The American College of Surgeons.
“Together, we will continue to grow, improve and serve our community with unwavering dedication,” George said. “All of us at Northern Dutchess Hospital strive to provide the highest quality of care and ensure the safety of every patient. Thank you to the community for placing your trust in us.”
