In celebration of its 60th anniversary, Putnam Hospital will host a Community Health Fair that will include a variety of screenings and services provided by hospital care teams and local partners.
The Community Health Fair is set to take place from 9 am to noon on Saturday, Oct. 5, at Putnam Hospital, 670 Stoneleigh Ave., Carmel. All are welcome.
“This is a great opportunity to engage with our physicians and care teams and learn about the hospital’s many programs and services,” said Dr. Keyur Ajbani, Putnam Hospital’s vice president of medical affairs. “As Putnam Hospital turns 60 this year, we wanted to give back to the community that has supported us over the years. This fair is a great way to make a positive impact on the health and wellness of our community.”
The Health Fair will include:
- Preventive health checks
- Blood pressure monitoring
- Balance screenings
- Diabetes screenings
- Mental Health screenings
- Birthing Center tours
- Colonoscopy questionnaire
- Hands-only CPR/Bleeding Control Skills
Some of the community partners who will join Putnam Hospital include the American Cancer Society, Alzheimer’s Association, BRIDGE Alliance and Open Door Family Medical Center in Brewster.
The Fair also coincides with Putnam Hospital’s annual breast screening and mammography event in cooperation with the Cancer Services Program of the Hudson Valley. The breast screening, open to eligible women ages 40 to 74 regardless of insurance status, requires registration. To schedule, contact Nurse Navigator Michelle Tierney at (845) 279-5711 ext. 4027.
