As part of the Northwest Connecticut Community Foundation’s Northwest Corner Gives campaign, Sharon Hospital’s Senior Meals program raised just over $20,000, giving the program ample resources to continue providing local seniors with healthy, nutritious meals.

Sharon Hospital proudly participated in the Northwest Corner Gives challenge in July 2024. The Northwest Connecticut Community Foundation (NCCF), a charity that enables donors to establish funds that support the work of local nonprofits through grants and provide scholarships to local students, hosts the Northwest Corner Gives Campaign each year.

Community campaign raises over $20,000 for senior meals at Sharon Hospital

During this year’s Northwest Corner Gives Campaign, Sharon Hospital raised funds to support the Senior Meals program. This program provides individuals aged 65 and older with a nutritious meal, including an entrée, two sides, soup or salad, dessert and a beverage all for just $5. Thanks to the generosity of many incredible donors, Sharon Hospital can fund around 4,000 meals.

“We sincerely thank the Northwest Connecticut Foundation and the Sharon Hospital community. Their support has contributed to a successful fundraising effort, allowing us to provide 4,000 health meals to seniors in the comfort and good company of our café at Sharon Hospital,” said Christina McCullough, President of Sharon Hospital.
