Does insurance cover a Virtual Visit?

Most insurance plans do cover Virtual Visits. Sometimes, these visits are also known as telemedicine or telehealth. Please call your insurance company or medical practice with specific questions on your specific insurance plan and coverage.

What do you need to get started?

You’ll need a camera-enabled device (desktop, laptop, tablet or phone) along with a WiFi/Internet connection. Most visits are complete in 15 minutes or less, and your information is kept secure and confidential via our HIPAA-compliant technology.

Fifteen minutes prior to your scheduled Virtual Visit, you’ll receive an email with a link to sign in to your Nuvance Health Virtual Visit (HealtheConnect) mobile app. You can log in using the email link or directly in the App. Once logged in, tap the application to see your scheduled visits. If you see a message that says “there are no providers available,” that is only for non-scheduled visits. If you prefer, use the Desktop Site.
