Psychiatric support

The board-certified psychiatrists offer individual assessments, therapy and medication management services. In-person and telehealth visits are available when you choose a Nuvance Health Medical Practice psychiatrist. The team also includes licensed clinical social workers (LCSWs) and other specialists.


For those in an outpatient setting, we treat issues such as:

  • Anxiety disorders (panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder)
  • Impulse control disorders
  • Mood disorders (depression, bipolar disorder)
  • Psychotic disorders (schizophrenia, schizoaffective  disorder)

Flexible options

The intensive outpatient programs (IOPs) at Nuvance Health support you or a loved one on the path to recovery. These programs offer a combination of support groups, symptom management, behavioral therapy and psychiatrist consultations. You may also access relapse prevention and case management services that connect you to community resources.


Partial hospitalization programs (day hospital) are available, too. With these programs, you have the ability to receive treatment during the day and return home in the evening.

Adolescent treatment services

The Center for Child and Adolescent Treatment Services is an intensive outpatient program (IOP) to help adolescents and families with mental health and substance abuse issues. These may include:

  • Depression, anger, and anxiety
  • Family and school issues
  • Self-injurious behaviors and thoughts of suicide
  • Social/friendship issues
  • Substance abuse issues

Specialists evaluate your child or teenager and work with your family to establish a personalized treatment plan. The doctors also manage medications and connect your family with community resources and support groups such as Al-Anon and Narcotics Anonymous.


Programs for children and adolescents include:

  • Arts therapy
  • Coping skills
  • Effective communication techniques
  • Family therapy
  • Group therapy
  • Peer and professional support
  • Treatment goal planning
